Are you kidding? 100,000 for the entire country is nothing when you think about all of the retailers that are going to be selling these. Nintendo sold over 600,000 Wii's in the first 8 days of its release, but even then, tons of people couldn't get a hold of one.

If the demand for this thing is big, there's no way 100,000 will be sufficient. I'm expecting another PS3-type of thing where people are going to buy it and then sell it on ebay.

I could be wrong on the number. I heard that from idiots at GameStop, and believe me, they're IDIOTS!! I went to go buy a wireless guitar for GHII on 360. They said they had one (I didn't know at the time either that they don't even make them yet!). I go there and they thought on the pic of the box that the little bit of black showing was an ANTENNA rather than part of the stinking cord...

And I'm trying to find a way to pre-order this damned Elite. I'm not missing out on this one!

You guys remember when the Halo LE came out dont you. They sat on the shelves for the longest time before they were all bought up. I realize that it didnt have the extra stuff the elite does but i'm sure they wont just disappear off the shelves in the first weeks.

I don't expect it to be a slug fest like the PS3 and Wii launches, by any means, but I think the limited quantity and "Elite" tag is going to be peaking interests quickly.

Well hopefully I can get one because I'm looking to get one sooner than later. I'm not willing to wait on line because waiting on line for the Wii at Target was one of the most miserable nights.

I ended up circumventing the entire mall building with a friend in the dark and walking down a dark street in a bad neighborhood to get to the 7-11 that was in the vicinity of the mall. Then we had to walk back down the dark and scary street with boarded up houses while carrying a crapload of food and hot chocolates, because it was cold as **** and we only had 1 sleeping bag between the 6 of us.

Well, I'm in the South. It's probably going to be T-shirt and shorts weather all night...

But I'm not waiting in line for one anyway. I'm just going to show up bright and early the day of launch.
