where to get a 360 in the next couple days??

so I'm going to purchase a 360 in a couple days. I was thinking of getting a one year service plan,but is there any point to that since the regular warranty is now for a year! Also do you guys know of any good deals anywhere right now,besides the Best Buy one(free game,$20 gift card)

Just look in the papers. Everybody should have 360's in stock at this point. As for warranties, look for a place that offers an actual EXTENDED WARRANTY (KMart, Gamecrazy, etc) instead of like EB or Gamestop, where a one year warranty means a one year warranty from the moment you buy it. Obviously, that defeats the purpose. Me, I don't buy systems without extended warranties.

One thing to consider, though, is MS's own warranty. That is, you can get another two years on the system for like 50 or 60 bucks through MS themselves and, I'm not 100% sure of this, it might be extendable after that (if it's like the original XBox). As far as I know, for your 50 or 60 bucks, it's not like the store ones either, which are a one time replacement. MS's own is just like the original- if it breaks, they fix it, and your warranty keeps on truckin'.

well I decided to go to EB,since I had a gift card. I got a free game and free one year service plan. If I decide I need a extended warranty past the first year, I guess can get the M$ one. .........can a wait a year then get the M$ plan?? now all I need is a router!

No, typically you have to get the extended warranty when you get the system. People were getting around it early on, what with MS having all of those issues with launch systems, but I think now you have to be kind of on top of it.

As for the EB one, as long as you got it for free. But hey...don't 360's come with 1 year warranties now, as opposed to 90 days? Or was that just the launch systems that got kicked up to a year? Mind checking your paperwork that came with the system and finding out?

Ya It should be one year warranty for all 360's. But I don't have to hassle with mailing it in, waiting and waiting, for them to send me a new one! I can just go into EB and get a new one. Though,if I had to pay for the EB plan, it might be a hole other story!
