I'm glad I get to eat my words just a bit, being that I swore up and down to Crusader there was no way Blue Dragon would make it by the end of this year and probably not to the US until late next year.
I mean, it still ISN'T coming out this year for us, but according to Hironobu Sakaguchi, Japan is scheduled to get it on December 7th. I'm hoping it doesn't take more than a few months to port it over, which would get it here probably 2nd quarter of next year. Lost Odyssey still isn't scheduled into sometime in 2007 (meaning we probably won't get it until 2008, earliest; here I am, hoping to eat my words again).
Too bad it's all for naught, though. The only thing that would ever get the Japanese to give the 360 a second look (or first look, as the case may be) and a fair shake would be an exclusive formal entry in the FF or DQ series and, well, that's not ever gonna happen. Gotta give credit to Sakaguchi and Microsoft for trying, though.
Well, at least up until the point you realize that MS was showing games like Gears of War in their TGS game footage montage. You'd think they would have learned the first time and the original XBox, when they thought they were going to get anything more than a yawn by busting out Halo and Madden footage on them, but no....they show that, at the end of the day, they're still pretty clueless.

*end sarcasm*....
.....wait, nope. *more sarcasm*
See, I told you Blue Dragon would make it by the end of the year, Dan! I didn't say in America, now did I? Nope, sure didn't.

(not you guys, but stuff I read on other forums and sites.) But who really cares? Probably only 5% of people with a 360 have a TV that can display 1080p properly.
Also, they announced the first few $30 titles today.

Nope, sure didn't. | Actually, in all honesty, I believe you did. The topic we were talking about was concerning which 360 RPG's we (as in not the Japanese, but the US) were getting. I remember that I was pretty surprised that you actually thought it WOULD make it out this year. That could have only been because we were talking about the US.
But whatever. Neither here nor there, eh?

I'll call you this week to weekend since I have school starting next week, but now that I have Okami, I can't make any promises (if you had the game, you would understand ).

You know how when you first played that back in the day, you just knew that what you were playing was pure greatness? That's Okami, all over again.
I really don't see anything that's going to contend with Okami as game of the year other than Zelda: Twilight Princess and Nintendo is going to have to have that game "tip top" to do it. I know I've only put 6 hours into Okami, but trust me- this isn't one of those "OMG!!! THE GREATEST GAME EVAR!!!!!!!!1111" type knee jerk reactions here. You can just tell as you're getting into the game and picking up speed that Okami is the real deal, dude.
