Dead Rising GameSaves?

Just picked up Dead Rising and there is one thing that is just driving me crazy. The way to save the game is just stupid. You are supposed to find certain places in the game to save...but I can never find them! Plus it seems to screw up a lot. The first time I played, I saved and then turned off the console. When I started it back up I had to start from the very beginning, but I still had the same amount of points and outfit on. It was extremely dumb. Anyone else having problems like this, or is it just me?

Well I don't have the game,but I heard a lot of people are complaining about this! other people say they like it and makes it more challenging?(shrugs)

Yeah, from what I've read/heard, the save system is seriously flawed. IIRC, you can only save in restrooms. Also, if you miss an event because you're not in a specific place in the mall at the specific time, the story just shuts down from there. It seems really like more of a frustration than an actual a challenge, really.

I love the zombies but the game needs some serious work.

Keyword here is AUTOSAVE!!!!

and dont get me started on the inmates that you can kill but as soon as you bring a survivor through they are back...give me a f**k'n break.
