Ninja Gaiden (and/or Black).

I've been playing through this game again and I am always amazed. However, this run through has been on my HDTV. What a treat! It's like a new game in 16:9 HD.

At any rate, the game's appeal isn't solely in it's graphics by any means. The combo-based battle system is smooth and tactical, which includes his mixture of acrobatic manuevers, projectile weapons, Ninpo magic and over 6 different weapons. The weapons also each have their own style (animations) and combos, creating an even more in-depth battle system with options.

Damn I could write a whole review here but I think I'll let others tell me why they do or don't agree or like this game.

Lol, I get mad if I get a bad "grade" at the end of a level. I always shoot for Master Ninja.

My only gripe with this game is the very minor and occasional camera issues. Sometimes the camera can give you a hard time in close-quarters combat or start moving around the battle on its own. But it's easily fixed by pressing the right analog to center the camera.

What I don't like in NG:Black is you have to play the the hardest difficulty to get all the new stuff! I understand that its a award for the best players,but man its hard!

Yeah, it's really hard. I haven't beat it on hard yet for either title.

Yeah, I really enjoyed this game too. Definitely one of the best on the Xbox. Can't wait to see this game on the 360!

Ha, Roger that short (p)review would almost make anyone want to go out and buy the game all over again. Had that been any longer people would have to wipe saliva from their monitors!

The thing I wonder about for the new Ninja Gaiden though, is coop play. I keep thinking about that ninja game on the NES with the grappling hook and all, and two players could go around handing out butt-whoopings to jabronies.

Now that I think about it, there's no way in the world you could end up with a doghouse ranking with a second player. Unless they only play games like Drake of the 99 dragons.

You know, that'd be super sweet to have a coop mode in Ninja Gaiden. That's ONLY assuming no single-player gameplay elements have been sacrificed. It's my favorite game. Don't mess with a good formula by adding unnecessary things like Live coop if it's going to have any adverse effect or stop anything more they "could've" done.

I'm ranting.

I love Ninja Gaiden. The second iteration better be even better. If they have to take notes from Kojima on how to make a sequel, then so be it.
