Hey man dont worry. Maybe less than a month ago I got the red lights of doom and had to send it in. I had a new replacement in about 5 days from sending it off. Just be sure you take the faceplate and the HDD off before you send it unless they told you otherwise as they may not come back to you.

Well, my faceplate is stock, so I don't care. And I of course took out ALL the peripherals, including the hard drive, and kept them here - no reason to send them. I'd die if they corrupted my hard drive!

Poor, poor 360...I was hoping ours wouldn't fall victim to the MS cancer, but alas, it needs chemo.

Well I got *****ground loop with mine!! So,pretty much ,there is nothing I could do to fix the problem. I tried all the possible solutions,....no luck! Damn you M$

As much as I love Xbox and Xbox 360....they seem to have the highest hardware failure rate ever. I've never had a console completely die and have it replaced. Yet I had to with both the Xbox and the 360.

I got my 360 in March of last year, and it did fine for about 6 months and then started going downhill. Right now I have to do at least 3 reboots every time I want to start it up. I'm sending it back to get it fixed though since MS extended the warranty to a year (thank goodness)

I know only one person who's had their for more than 6 months without it breaking. It's a great system, but the hardware is just so faulty. It's actually their firmware levels that are breaking things: the software isn't talking to the hardware correctly. That's why it's usually a progressive issue and they don't break right away.

The bad thing is it's true. When I pulled out the receipt with the store warranty it was the day after it expired. I had to laugh to myself about that.
