rumor about xbox 360

A buddy of mine is really pushing that the xbox 360 can emulate ps2 and other systems. I'm just wondering if anyone else has heard anything about this?

I'm sure someone will find a way for the Xbox 360 to do that, but it won't be something that's built into the system or anything. You'll probably need to mod it.

Unless that rumor is coming from a reliable developer in possession of a 360 alpha kit, I don't believe it at all.

I am sure the Xbox 360 has the capabilities to emulate the PS2 and its games, but this will have to be developed by hackers illegally. Whether or not the Xbox 360 will be hackable just like the Xbox was, nobody knows yet. I did hear a rumor that you will need a special tool to get the case off, and not just some hidden torx screws.

Whoever made the emulator could probably make it so you can just use the Xbox controller. Because you can get like nes emulators on the Xbox right now and it works fine with the Xbox controller.

lol, if this rumor was in any way true, sony would be fuxxored indeed.

But we'll find a way to get xbox360 open, i'm sure =P. (let's keep the xbox modding talk restricted to www.xb-t.com by the way)
