X Box 360 vs PS3

I am told by a lot of people that the PS3 will overpower the x box 360. I hope this is not true cause I know that this past consol cycle was basicilly domnated by the x box 360. What have you guys heard?

Well, perhaps the PS3 has a stronger hardware assignment, but it still comes down to how the hardware works together as well as with the software and how the developers make use of the system.

It's still anybodies game.

i beliave that the hardware may be better but it will not be as good as the xbox because it has too much of a complicated archtecture. like crusader said its all about how the hardware works witht he others.

I agree with you now that I think about it I just hope sony blows in this consol cycle.

John Carmack of id said it best. The developers do not look at the power that much, they look at development. PS3 will be harder to make a game for while xbox 360 is a lot easier.

The only difference, as of the last consoles, was how many developers were on board with Sony (being a japanese company) versus what developers worked with MS. If alot of developers see the ease at which they can produce games on the 360, rather than the PS3, that will also help MS win the war. Probably another good reason that the 360 is coming out first: gives developers a chance to see and develop before the other consoles. They may prefer developing for MS this time around rather than for Sony or Nintendo. That is Sony's only real advantage in the first place, more developers and publishers.

Either way, I am gonna buy a PS3 and sell it on ebay for 3 times it's actual worth....I wish I had gotten 2 360's...
