You sure use allot of "up the ass" phrases lately!! Anyway I like the look of Vista! Until I use it,I can't make a judgment.

Why....because you don't use Apple computers or something? Big deal. What's your stake in this? Did Steve Jobs run over your dog or something? Or do you just think that everybody should like what YOU like and nothing else? *rolls eyes*

Seriously- I want to know ONE GOOD REASON why you think Apple should go under.

Back to the point, I'm impartial to Vista. In all factual testament, Windows will always be an unstable resource hog. While I'm a Windows Server admin, I've been becoming more and more exposed to flavors of UNIX and Linux, which I can say are easier. While they don't have the intuitive GUI as Windows does, there's a lot less steps to configure something on a UNIX/Linux machine than on a Windows machine.

I used to Vista beta. I didn't like it at all. They killed the start menu, and re-organized everything. It sucks. Not to mention it is a major resource hog, it lagged opening the right-click menu with a midline system. I have to agree that Linux/Unix is much nicer for hosting or setting up a Server for users and stuff. My school uses it, and it is damn nice. I have it on a backup hard drive. I'm probably going to wait for someone to get DX10 to work on XP.

I have Linux running on Microsoft Virtual Server on my Laptop. I essentially have two operating systems on one computer without having to choose which one to boot to. It boots to Windows and then I can turn off/on my virtual Linux host.

The fact that windows vista uses exponentially more ram than windows XP is reason enough to not use it, until system standards rise and having windows vista won't mean having 1 out of 2 gigs of ram free with only your operating system running, stick with the little guy.
