Re: Blu-Ray and HDDVD already almost obsolete? I'm really surprised that "they" haven't overcome the storage amount problem yet. I've noticed an increase in SD type flash and it would only be logical that a bigger memory "stick" would have a larger capacity. The small SD can hold up to, what is it currently... I think 4 gigs? and that's a small flash card. So why doesn't a flash card that is similar in size (or slightly smaller) to a HDD have OVER the capacity of a terabyte HDD? I'm sure there is more to it than that, it just makes me wonder. I look at my 2 gig tiny ass flash card and the logic that something physically larger should be able to hold more... of course, with technology, it isn't always true -- but seems to make sense at least with the flash memory. I dunno.
Anyway, I understand your point; and it's valid, but I really do think that it will be quite awhile before our current (DVD, all types) medium is "obsolete".
