Default Custom User Titles?

Hey, right now normal users cannot edit their user title (the thing right below your name)

Do you think we should change this so that members can change it to whatever they want, or should it stay like it is now, where you have to have a certain amount of posts to promote to the next level? Like this:

Newbie 0
Member 25
Gamer 100
Force Sensitive Gamer 150
Avid Gamer 200
Elite Gamer 325
Expert Gamer 500
Master Gamer 750

A lot of people dig custom titles. I think we should allow users to do so at a certain amount of posts following certain criteria...meaning no spamming!

Custom titles kinda distinguish (as well as their name, of course) a seperate digital entity. Originality, for a lack of sounding retarded.... and, well, their fun. But like Crusader says, there must be some stipulations. I think it should be up to the admin whether to allow a user who has reached a certain "requirement" (posts, respect, along those lines...) . Basically, not every joey bagg-o' donuts who posts a certain amount should get one. They have to earn it me thinks...

Right now, usergroups only have two options... custom titles enable or disabled

So if we enabled them for normal members, all members would be able to change it. I have a way to put a post minimum on it but...i don't know...

No offense, but the user titles already in place are kind of bad. Like how is someone supposed to know that an "expert gamer" is better than an "elite gamer" because both basically mean the same thing. Now something like "decent gamer" and "1337 gamer" would be better

Because as a fellow VGCore'r to the regular members, I care about the dignity of my fellow posters.

Actually I don't really, but it was just a suggestion

I thought as much, most sites have that limitation I guess.... oh well. It's entirely up to you guys. Too bad I don't have an xbox, I'd come over and write for you guys.... then, I could have a custom title!
