Games division Sony Computer Entertainment said the handheld games unit, already a hit in Japan and the US, would go on sale in Australia on 1 September, priced at $429.95.*
The accessories bundled in the pack will be familiar to US PSP owners, with the*Playstation Portable*package including a 32MB Memory Stick, headphones, remote control, AC adaptor and games sampler.* No full games will be included in this package.
The price is steep - 170 USD more than those in the USA had to pay.* It translates to almost 250 GBP, which will be too expensive for a lot of gamers in Europe who planned to get a PSP.
