I hope sony falls. they make really shoddy products. especially the PS2. even tho I own a PSP, I rarely use it.

Even in long-run terms, it would be completely nonsensical for MS to do something like that. They're already in the US market, but have not completely settled into the gaming industry the way Nintendo and Sony have.

Okay, you may argue that Microsoft would do the penetration pricing strategy to push Sony out of the market, but that's just never gonna happen. I don't know ONE person who wants Sony out of the gaming industry, and I know fewer people who want Microsoft to lead it. Stupid article based on the stupidest of presumptions.

If any gamer should be concerned about the downfalls of the next generation consoles, that's just silly. Considering none of them aren't even on the market as of yet, I still keep hearing "ps3 is def gunna kick 360's ass" or "revolution is gunna dominate all the other console *****es" from a number of people and its flat out ridiculous. Before people become judgmental of something and come to unrealistic conclusions about what is and what isn't going to happen in the next console war, try experiencing them for yourself, it makes a difference.

Yeah, in the end of the day, the more competitors we've got in the industry, the better! More competition = lesser prices = more innovation = better gaming experience = ... and on and on.

Yeah I truly don't want to see any company lose their foothold in the game industry. What I would prefer is the fierce competition. Yes there is money to be made but seriously, we are all here for the same reason: to play games. So quit bashing the other companies and let your hardware and software fight the battle for you.
