Spectra Video's Logic3 range provides some higher quality PSP audio enhancements.

PSP535 - Sound System for PSP - "Logic3 Sound System, a combined portable 2.1 speaker system and recharging docking-station designed exclusively for Sony's PSP to create a 'mini theatre' to play movies or music. This system produces astounding sound using a high class amplifier, deep bass sub-woofer and 3D surround-sound circuitry to pack a punch more powerful than its compact size suggests. Includes mains adaptor, carry-case and line-in cable. "
Their names tell us that the former is a speaker attachment to use on your PSP while on the go, where the latter is geared towards a stationary PSP for UMD watching etc. The Sound Grip is priced at 17 GBP, the Sound System at 42 GBP. Personally, I'm glad to see they are expensive, as I only really dabble in gaming accessories when they are deserving of my console. I will have to reserve judgement until I get my hands on them, but for the moment they look hot.
