Thumbs down PS3 Router Functionality: Gone

Remember how the PS3 is aiming to be the world's premiere super entertainment computer? Well, it seems as if though its taking a step backward with the exclusion of the console acting as a router for providing a signal to other wireless devices (you know, like the PSP). Its said that this decision made by Sony is to prevent the cost of the console being unreachable by today's gamers, let alone the average consumer.

The price is unreachable anyway, so it won't matter whether it's there or not . I like that picture haha

There used to be a time when average people could afford consoles and their games... today it seems to be a laborious task just getting the friggin' console!

But, to be quite honest with you, Sony doesn't need that gadget in their console anyway. They'll probably sell it as an accessory later on "PS3 Router Kit" for $59.99

Would the router only have supported gaming devices?

I'm assuming it would allow access to the internet with any device. After all, it is the world's multimedia super computer.

Be certain you'll have all that info and more when it's available on Playstation Core when it launches very soon.
