First PS3 Review - 6/10

Ouch. IGN just posted a review of Genji for PS3 (I guess there is no embargo or something) and gave it a 6/10. BTW, this was the game everyone was making fun of with the "giant enemy crabs" and all that.

Yes, this is the game that provides realism of ancient Japan. Apparently, they had giant crabs back then...

Normally launch titles get saving-grace reviews...people are always excusing the new hardware, etc. I guess $500 for the system and another $60 for the game, is just too much to make excuses for. Even if the game actually deserves low-scores.

Knowing Sony, though, they'll probably take whatever they can salvage from the review and put on the back of the box, regardless. <_<

Oh wow.

That's not cynicism I left there. That's incredulity. Sony goes to great lengths to deceive. Now I really don't believe them about how long they purportedly had the motion-sensing controller in the works. 2 weeks before E3 sounds like what really happened...
