Is it worth me buying a psp?

I am crossing over and I want to buy a pspbut I dun know if it is worth it and i trust your guysoponion so I was wondering why should i or shouldn't I buy a PSP?

It seems to be lacking alot of good titles,but there is alot of cool mods for it!

I picked up a second hand one for £100 a few weeks back, after breaking the other one. If you can get such a nice wee gadget for that price I don't see why not. The games that are out for it at the moment are generally alright - but just Loco Roco makes the thing worth buying XD

It's brilliant as a PDA type thingie too, but if you're looking for something that'll give you the same gaming experience as a console... perhaps not. It wont ever be as diverse as a console but lets put it this way - better that than a DS... although I'll probably pick up a DS soon too though.

Play it, mess around with it and if you want it, get it.

yea I own a DS n e ways and I was dissappointed and I am looking to get into all around gaming and I figure what a good way to start get a psp

The DS smokes the PSP. I mean, the PSP has a few good games and all and I enjoy mine, but it's not even a contest between the two. Any gamer worth his or her salt knows THAT.

Plus if you get a flash cart for the DS, you get access to some pretty good homebrew, excellent emulation capabilities, and outstanding PDA functions.

I was never able to track down Beats of Rage for my XBox (just ran into a lot of dead end links). Was that any good?

Most of the really popular games get ported to the PS2, so unless you can wait, I do not see the need to buy a PSP.

Anyway, I'll probably get one for Silent Hill: Origins. Anybody else here a survival horror fanatic?

The psp has amazing homebrew. a nearly full speed n64 emulator, ir-shell, universal remotes, fully customisable ui, psx emulator (in dev), All without needing a special cartridge (just don't update the psp's firmware).

The psp's graphics > ds's graphics (PSP is greater than DS).

So yes, buy a PSP (Like I told you to in class today).
