PS3 console pre-order

I never understood preordering,anthing I ever wanted I just walked in wherever they had it and got it! Every time I go into EB or Gamestop they hound me.."you need to preorder,or you will probably not get it".........rubbish!

Haha dream on buddy, if you dont pre-order any of the new consoles you will be waiting a couple of months to get them

nope! Than again I don't have any plans, at this time,to get any of the new consoles.

Apparently, you aren't much for niche games, I see. At least half of the games I buy, I wouldn't get on day one if I didn't preorder unless I was there waiting at the door to get it in the morning. Mainstream and big name titles, well....of course they order a ton of those and you don't have to preorder.

For the rest of us, though, preordering sure comes in handy. Even if it's not niche, I still like to preorder. Especially for systems.

well when I actually buy games(no comment),I will go to gamestop. On the very slim chance they don't have what I want,which is because they don't have it yet, there are many other stores around! So I never had to preorder anything! As for consoles, my local Wal-mart has had 360's since day one.The weird thing is I don't think they every sold any,mabey because I live in the middle of nowhere? Though, you would think that it would be the exact opposite ! As for niche games....hmmm

That's the other half of the equation I forgot to mention (or more like did, but took it out for whatever reason before posting): the games I'm talking about, you don't find at places like Target, Walmart, Best Buy, Circuit City, etc. who only pretty much carry the mainstream releases and the stores that DO carry them (like Gamestop, EB, Gamecrazy) only get a few copies in that typically get snapped up early in the morning or just cover their preorders.

I hate Halo,GTA, and Madden. Well maybe not Halo. As for GTA,I think I'm one of the 2% that totally hates these games!.... You know I shouldn't really talk, I don't even buy games anymore. Anyway you have some good points and I guess I have been lucky to find what games I wanted, in the past!
