What's up with you being against the homebrew scene, Darkchaos?

The thing with the backgrounds and such is that the homebrew developers are working on their own. The SDK has been leaked and now they have all they need to really start making things, such as browsers and the ability to change backgrounds (which has recently been done, BTW).

Well IMO is better to have something that is official and not unofficial.

Default Why you should install v1.52...

1) Future games will required the system to be up to date

2) You get more security for PSP ( This not only includes homebrew, but also keeping ur psp safe from viruses that can damage psp operating system, such as erasing the system Bios. Many people have had this prob where their psp wont turn on and work at all. So when u download stuff on psp through the pc, with the security update ur psp is update)

3) For those who already installed 1.51, there is no need to wait for homebrew coz ur system is already been secured. Plus we got psp for 128 bits games, not 8 bits games of gameboy.

Certain homebrew applications can have unwanted implications upon system firmware/BIOS coding. Whether these implications be intended or not by the creator of the application, they can cause serious and irreversable damage to your $250/$300 dollar purchase. The fact is, homebrew is not tested nearly as much as commercial software. Furthermore, if damage to your PSP is instated, you will not likely have the tools to bounce back. The difference between your PPC/PC and your PSP is the fact that you have severely less control over the latter. All I can say is good luck to those who take that chance, and smart choice to those who don't.

1.You must have your PSP updated to play a game? What about the people that don't have internet or WI-FI but have a PSP?
