It's unconventional...but it looks interesting.

It looks wierd but it might get a good controller afterall, but I am still gettin the XBOX 360.

Also in terms of backwards compatability, Nintendo will be selling attachments (like the joystick attachment seen above) in the form of their older controllers. The freehand controller will go into the controller, which is like a shell until the new controller goes in there.
