I'm so excited for Mario Kart and the DS being online, that I had to jump up and get my router WAAYYY ahead of time. Well, I'd like to get on Live soon too... Anyway, they (nintendo) says the Gamespy online system won't be ready to the "holidays", which it seems to me, the date got pushed back for that damn "christmas" thing... I can't stand it any longer though! The awesome games are one thing, but c'mon, I want to play my DS with anyone in the country NOW !

Yes, it's encrypted and it's on. Crusader, you're just mad that I paid 26 and you paid 50 for the same thing. "jump the gun" my ass! I got a WAP for 19 dollars that's compatible too! Where's your WAP? Oh, what? It isn't compatible for online gaming? Oh no.... oxoxoxox

And my router is my WAP, for my laptop with a wireless PCMCIA card.
So did you get that WAP to work with PS2? How much was it?
Ok, smart ass, now tell me how a router works and then I'll be impressed.

I have a four switch smart hub that routes "packages" to the subnets, it shares the bandwidth of 2mbps (that's my rated speed from my ISP), to each decvice connected in my LAN. Also known as Wireless Fidelity because it acts as a wireless access point to the wan from any other device (pcmcia, usb, or wirelss b/g/a w.a.p) that has the required specs, via Radio waves (2.4 GHz). Can be "wired" or "wireless" depending on your preference, but still "shares" the access.
Is that about right? You can ask later how I knew all that. It's quite the coincidence. Don't be too impressed, I wouldn't want my head to swell; then I wouldn't be able to ride my bike so damn well!
EDIT: I changed www to Wide Area Network (wan).
