I Had A Discussion...

War Or Peace

So I was having a discussion with a good friend of mine.We started talking about peace.What it would take to really achieve it.She started going on about governments and political well being and whatnot.Here is my opinion.

To reach a state of "true" peace,a huge sacrifice would have to be made by every single person on this planet.What will you give for it?The standard answer and most used is I would gladly give my life so my children can know peace.That is bull****.Giving your life,or rather the willingness to accept death over victory,is a defeat in itself.What would you REALLY give?Not hypothetically,but if you were asked tomorrow to choose,would you be able to?Would you really WANT to?

Here is my question:Would you denounce your heritage,your "citizenship" your "labels"?Instead of being an American,or an African,or an Asian,would you be able to,in the name of peace,drop those labels,step back from that mentality,that pre programmed hate instilled into us from birth,and just be human?

It's a yes or no question,no debate,you must choose,would you be ables to?

I am not going to lie,I lack the strength,and mental capacity,to imagine a world removed of such hate that is so rampant.To really SEE,we would first have to be blind.No color,no shapes,nothing,just peace.

that is why games are so great cause when you log on to a game like Halo 2 and play a matchmaking game you have no label for the other person all you know is they like games just like you honestly I think games are the closest thing to peace we will ever get.

Too many people can talk about sacrifice and what they would do for peace, but most actually wouldn't do what was necessary...sucks...

He's a Seabee, not a Marine, though they're very similar. The SeaBees are the Navy's "Construction Battalion." They build and protect. So they not only have construction experience, but they also specialize in combat.
