damn i hate canadian winters - 30 a few weeks ago and at work i work outside

it really sucked my fingers almost came off i wanted to get home and play my 360 and go back to my nerdy ways

t6onight we are getting a massive ice storm and about 15 - 20 cm's of snow that translates to almost a foot of snow on the ground it really sucks cause I have to work tonight

We've had 40 degree weather for about a week after that ice storm, but it started getting cold again today. Somehow, even after this hot weather, there are still a lot of chunks of dirt and sand covered ice around.

Ran out of fuel last night. woke up it was about -2 inside the house!!

I have seven heaters running in one room. Can't get more fuel till tomorrow,or they charge a emergency fee!!..............azzholes!!
That's one thing that sucks about living in the so-called country,can't get gas. Fuel costs about 3 times as much as gas!

I take it you don't have a fireplace, huh? Why don't you just get a electrical main heater? Fuel burns quick and, like you said, is expensive.

um...well either way is going to cost. the third floors heat is electric. I think the main problem is the furnace needs to be replaced, its almost a hundred years old and freakin huge! I'm not sure if replacing the hole house with electric heat would be that much cheaper. To do it the right way I would probably have to rip out all the old radiators! Maybe a couple years down the line if the price of fuel keeps going up the rate it has been! ....oh ya, I got a couple of propane fire places, yet again something that costs too much!

We are opening a bed and breakfast,so that will help with some of the bills.

Propane fireplaces, unfortunately, don't give off as good of heat as traditional wood. Also, in the long run, switching over to electric now will probably be beneficial. Better yet, move into a house that isn't 100 years old! lol.... had to throw that in there!!
