Saw it last night too. It was really well done. I liked how the rendered environment had a very dark feel to it, which supposedly fit well with the graphic novel version of 300.

Gerard Butler did a superb job. He trained so hard for over 4 months for the role that he actually "overtrained" himself and had to quit working out for 8 months following the movie. He did an interview with Men's Health magazine.

The movie's style was amazing. Kinda like a Sin City/Kill Bill/Troy amalmagation. But the whole "Make Persians Look Gay Now that Iran Has Nuclear Weapons" thing was stupid.

I do realize it's based on a comic, but honestly a lot of people think that historically it REALLY was only 300 v/s the entire Persian empire.
