 Psycho
I was in HMV a few weeks ago and I picked up the original Psycho movie for £5 as part of a deal.
Trust me, this movie is the master of the macabre. Great performances by Janet Leigh as Marion Crane and Anthony Perkins as the troubled Norman Bates.
What really creeped me out is the fact that Norman has an obsession with stuffed birds and he's all alone at the motel. When Marion says something out of place about his "mother" he becomes emotionally detached from reality.
I've never seen the remake, nor do I care about its "shower scene" because the original pulled this once quite nicely with unmatched fear and cinematography.
