Default Alien 5

I was recectly searching on google, when I decided to type in Alien 5. I usually refer to older movie titles since I cant help it, and I came across an article in which James Cameron discusses plans on making the movie. He claims that Alien 3 killed the series, but Alien Resurrection completely annihilated it. He wants to end it with Alien 5, and a blast off. He's supposedbly planning on getting the original director from Alien and Aliens, (Ridley Scott) to direct it, because he claims he wants him to direct it while John supervises some what. Btw, this is all based on an article I read, so just go on google and type in Alien 5.... yea... 1.

Not a chance in hell I say!! I think James Cameron has written off this series. Though,he did say recently that he wanted to go back to his sci-fi roots. Now as for Ridley, even though I think his last movie sucked,he is one of my favorite Directors! I could see him making another alien movie. Which would be cool! Though, most likely that piece of **** Paul W.S. Anderson will do the next alien movie!! I think after 3 crap movies(including AVP) it's going to be hard to resurrect this series!!

Aren't we forgetting Alien Vs. Predator? That was an outstanding addition to the series!!

...

...ok, back to be serious, I would very much like to see an appropriate series "send off".

AVP2 Update
New cast members and title revealed!
by IGN Staff

Quote:

October 5, 2006 - Three new actors have joined the cast of the upcoming Alien vs. Predator rematch. Half Nelson star Shareeka Epps will appear, along with Miami Vice actor John Ortiz, and Johnny Lewis, who plays Chili on FOX's The OC -- that's per today's edition of The Hollywood Reporter.
AVP2, perhaps the most overt "do-over" attempt in Hollywood history, also has a new title. 20th Century Fox appears to have dubbed the flick, Alien vs. Predator: Survival of the Fittest. Mmm 'kay? Epps will reportedly play Kendra, a young girl who must protect her little brother. Ortiz will portray a recently elected sheriff. And Lewis plays a troubled kid named Ricky. The trio join a cast that already includes 24's Reiko Aylesworth and Steven Pasquale.

The film will be directed by Greg and Colin Strause from a script by Shane Salerno (Armageddon). And while the story is still a mystery, filmmakers have publicly made their case for the film to fans, making it clear that they intend to take the franchise back to its gritty horror roots.
Alien vs. Predator: Survival of the Fittest is scheduled for a December 21, 2007 big-screen release.
Well atleast some good news, if Anderson is out!! ....... In the made thier case article it said "the studio would even jump at a chance to make Alien 5, should director Ridley Scott, who helmed the brilliant original, be interested in another."

Alien 5 has been in the back burner for years. An early storyline saw Ripley returning to Earth, bringing a batch of aliens with her.

Although this isn't related, Sylvester Stallone is rumoured to star in Predator 3 in a role similar to Dutch.
