Default The Hills Have Eyes

I found this movie to be very cruel. Many scenes in this film were beyond nasty, especially when those pet birds got killed. I never really understood why those retarded looking maniacs were just killing random holiday goers.

This movie is actually a remake of a '70s film by Wes Craven that he made long before The Nightmare On Elm Street or Scream series. It has the same characters like Pluto, although I know there was a sequel in the '80s which means they may do a remake of the sequel.

The only actor I recognised was Billy Drago, as he was in Tremors 4 and the Mike & The Mechanics music video for "Silent Running (On Deadly Ground)". Perhaps you know the other actors in this movie. There really wasn't that many, excluding the extras.

You don't watch too many horror movies do you? Anyway Ted"Put the lotion in the basket" levine(played father in the Hills) is one of my favorite actors, though he has not had to many starring roles, must notably Silence of The Lambs. also the women who played the mother,I forgot her name, has been in a ton of movies! I liked the unrated version of the new Hills Have Eyes, but not as much as the original movie! There was two sequels to the original movie. As for killing random people,I don't believe that it was random?.... but they killed, for food!

Actually, I agree with P3nguin. This movie didn't make me root for the so-called "good-guy". More than anything I was just trying to figure why the mutants were so darn cruel?

I don't mind super bad dudes, sawed off body parts, ultra-violence, Stanley Kubrek style stuff. But why the extreme cruelty? Even Hostel had a better explanation, which at least made some kind of sadistic sense. This movie however, was as bad as Wrong Turn, except it was just a bit stupidier.

Recent horror movies...that didn't suck? Well, the one that rings the bell in the most fashionably original way is Jeepers Creepers, the first one. It's a long way from being "most recent", but too many horror movies have lost a grip on conveying a true sense of fear to the viewers.

It's not about hacking and slashing body parts; A Clockwork Orange had "ultra-violence" but it wasn't like Hostel, See no Evil or Saw. Movies that are really horrific are ones that come from writers and directors who understand how humans emote to situations of fear. Too many studios are stuck on gore, which can work at times but just doesn't carry any depth. I found that a lot of recent horror movies have fallen into that ditch (I don't even bother counting the ones rated PG-13).

well I would say that 90% of pg movies in general suck because of the fact that they can do nothing with a pg 13 rating or even a 14a rating (in canada). Like there isn't a lot of swearing blood or gore alowed and that if ****ing rediculous... oh was I ranting srry ill get off my soapbox now... but I am strongly against any form of censorship at all it should all burn in hell
