Actually, I noticed that PG-13 movies can get away with showing blood, so long as it's not profuse. And they can get away with language, so long as it's not persistent. It's a stupid system, and to some extent I agree that censorship needs some re-tooling.

And yeah, I laughed a lot during the original Jeepers Creepers. Especially when the Creeper was doing acrobatics over the car...darn hilarious. But that's what made that movie good, they didn't try to frighten people with stupid stuff, they just followed through with characters in a scenario. It's rare we get movies (in any rating category) that takes horror elements and just plays them out. Cabin Fever tried, but the premise was just too darn stupid.

Well I have to say that horror buisness,in hollywood, is a lot better then the Scream(the movie) days! Some good movies do surface here and there, but lately it seems like everything is a remake! I don't think it will ever be like it was in the 80's. I have really gotten into the underground scene in the last decade or so........there is a bunch of crazy movies out there, that most people never heard of!

True, original stuff like Evil Dead is pretty much...dead. You mentioned that there were some crazy movies in the underground scene. You mean movies like that recent low-budget Russian flick (I can't remember the name) with the witches and vampires and stuff?

I have not seen that one,but I think your talking about 3BH or something like that....maybe?? I have not pick up anything in the last month or so. The last DVD's I picked up were Nick Palumbo's Murder-Set-Pieces,which was banned from retail outlets, extremely bloody. umm...August Underground, which is a fake snuff like film. The F***ing woods, which is one of the most vile short films ever! The version I got is actually edited,....you don't want to know!! lately I have also been trying to hunt down some David Cronenberg films. I have a bunch of other DVD's I can't think of now, I have about 500 Horror movies in my collection!

Alot of my collection is 80's stuff, but version's that were never released here. Most american horror movies are cut, locally, even if they say uncut! The burning which is one of my favorites,costaring..um..the fat guy from Freinds..forgot his name? Anyway its a awsome camp movie about some kids that accidentally burn up the camp's caretaker, and he seeks revenge with variuos gardening tools...good stuff! I have a bunch of foriegn movies, also. I guess my prize collection would have to be Dawn of the Dead(original)Ultimate Black Edition, from Germany.Which is all the cuts from the Directors version and the French release of Zombie spliced together!

Here are a few good sites:

Sweet. I'll check e'm out. I usually stay away from indepedent horror flicks, as they don't seem to know their boundaries.

Ah, I remember the Russian film now, it was called Night Watch. I missed it because it was in limited release at some unknown theatres. But it looked cool.

And when you mentioned "good guys" getting axed down at the end of a movie, the first thing that came to mind was "The Omega Man".
