You can move your favorites into a vertical toolbar (or, sidebar) that resides on the left side of your screen. It doesn't impede full window display at all. Go to "View" and hover the mouse over sidebar, then pick "bookmark". I like it that way, I just mouse over and click a favorite (right click and open in new tab if I so desire).

I love Firefox. I had to use Netscape for a couple of months because I couldn't get the flashplayer plug in to work on Firefox. It sucked having to use netscape, which, really, isn't all that bad. Firefox is defenitely better though. Anyway, when I downloaded the newest version of Firefox, it was already equipped with the plugin apparently.... I hope you know, I went through all that just so I could view/play all the flash stuff on THIS SITE! lol

There's also a handy link bar you can drag and drop your favorite links to that resides horizontally, right below the address bar. Even the site icons show up for fast recognition.

I just found a new extension that I really like. It's called IEtab. For those of you who have IEview (opens up the webpage in IE), IEtab opens up an instance of Internet in a Firefox window so you can't even tell the difference. You can either right click to do it or click the little Firefox icon on the status bar to change it to an IE icon and an instance of IE. It's really great so I suggest that everyone downloads it.
