Viacom Buys Xfire for $102 Million

Viacom / MTV Networks recently bought Gametrailers.com and now they just announced the acquisition of Xfire.

Pretty interesting because Xfire is just that little application thing and $102 million is a heck of a lot of cash

Xfire is a useful program for gamers with buddies that aren't on their buddy lists. I used to use it, but deleted it because I only had a few buddies, all of which were close friends on AIM. It's sad to see it in the hands of MTV.
