I can see why you say that, I want one because I have awful handwriting meaning I am allowed to use a laptop at school, this would be a great laptop replacement. But it is hard to see how the majority of people woould use it. I will use it for everything you can think of, movies, music, gaming, ebooks etc.

Since you have awful handwriting, I don't see how this would help.

I dont quite see what you mean, unless you are reffering to the handwriting recognition, which is to slow to use for typing anyway. I would use an external keyboard.

A laptop seems much more fit for the job you're talking about. The keyboard is already attached! Sure, it's a bit heavier, but you have every function you need already on a laptop! This new device seems ludicrous to me. I even read the full unvieling article and was not the least bit impressed. Until I see different, this "oragami" is a paper weight.

Sorry took me a little while to respond to this, I have both a laptop and a high end pocket pc, I find the laptop too big and the pocket pc to small, besides that it has too many compromises. I can carry a usb keyboard in my main school bag and get it out only when needed, making the device a lot more portable for use without the keyboard, and for carrying around school.

Besides that this is only the Samsung model many manufacturers are readying to make them, and ones will be made with keyboards built in, but I think they are quite tacky, as someone once said to me buying a tablet which rotates into a laptop is like buying a bike with training weels.

Well, if you carry around this device and a keyboard, it sounds almost as cumbersome as a laptop. Now, if you are some bigshot wallstreet investor, this origami would be perfect for on the fly market sharing. Other than that, it's retarded. No offense...

There are a few things you have to consider;
1. How heavy a laptop is, and I know there are small ones but they are generally loud, expensive, overheating or not very well specced but cheap.
2. How small keyboards are I have a universal wireless keyboard for my pocket pc, and it fits inside my pocket, because it folds in on itself.

Plus how cool would this be for out of class as well, for reading ebooks, watching movies, playing games (to a certain level, direct x 8 officially but there is a video of someone playing zoo tycoon on it over at umpcbuzz, which is a direct x 9 game, and relatively heavy on the resources).
