Microsoft Word annoyance

So I was on the computer one day and opened up Microsoft Word and all of a sudden, there are brackets in the corners! Now this isn't really a big deal, but it's one of those things that you don't want to be there and it just pisses the hell out of you because you can't take it away. So here I am, asking all you fellow VGCore'ers for help!

Go to page setup and look around for borders. you can fix it there.

Hmm still can't get rid of it.. where exactly should I be looking in borders?

Hmmm. If you can't find it there, try your margins. If you cant do it with the margin bar on the actual page screen, go into page setup again and try it under the margins tab.

No.. I just set everything in page setup back to its default, but it's still there. Thanks for your help so far though Gib. Any other takers?

I could figure it out, since I use word alot, but I don't have Word on my home computer and I need to look at the options to get it right. Sorry.

I'm pretty sure it's a button on the tool bar to turn it off. See that one up there that is indented? I believe it's for "drawing" and that may be the reason. Also, check under "Format" and there should be a selection for "Reveal Formatting". It could be that as well. Or, under "View" tab, check to see if "Markup" is on.

However, I've been unable to duplicate your issue...
