If your talking about KOTOR 2, the developers made the game so the items you find along the journey, and where they are located are different every time you play the game. For instance, on the very first planet in the store by the cantina, if your lucky, that store will have a silver lightsaber crystal in stock, as opposed to the orange or purple one it might have had in there the first or second time you played the game.
