Actually owning the game doesn't mean ****.
You should read the little thing on Nintendo's site about emulation and all. It explains your legal rights (as well as theirs) perfectly. Owning the game does NOT mean you can own a "backup" of it, nor involve yourself in any form of data-transfer. Intelligence property or whatever the hell it's called is a little more complicated than that.
I remember the old ROM sites used to say "You must own this game and delete it within 24 hours" and some bullcrap. Most of those sites aren't around anymore, incase you haven't noticed.
