I don't own any of the next-gen consoles (I just borrow them from friends every now and then) but the 360 is definitely in best of shape. I'll give the PS3 more credit now than when it first came out as it finally has some solid games (most of which are coming to or came from the 360 but still...). The Wii is great and innovative and all but Wii Sports is boring now and Twilight Princess is almost as great on the Gamecube anyway. I guess Super Paper Mario is pretty good but I haven't played it yet. All I'm saying is that the console, as a whole, is incredibly overrated.
The 360 is definitely the most appealing in terms of solid games that are currently available (Dead Rising, Gears of War, PGR3, Condemned, Lost Planet, Oblivion, GHII, PGR3, etc.) and ditto for upcoming games (Forza 2, Mass Effect, Too Human, Virtua Fighter 5, Blue Dragon, plus every other decent-looking third party PS3 game...practically). So yeah. The Xbox 360 has definitely won me over. Now I just have to find $480 for an Elite console (plus however much a quality HDTV will cost when I do) and I'll be set. |
