There's a lot more Jrpg's out that aren't turn-based, the Tales series is one of them. I don't know what you mean by them looking childish though, ALL the games looked like FF3 back in the day and at the time it wasn't considered childish. You'll have endless battles in any RPG you play though, wether it's a turn-based JRPG or an action based American game. RPG's usually focus on battle and story, so of course there will be endless battles, silly.  Maybe RPG's just aren't your thing regardless of wether they're American or Japanese. |
